Check it out! "Founders Brewing Company CBS GETTING TAPPED AT 4PM ON 5/20!!!!!!!! Yes you read that right, Banger's will have a keg of the ultra rare Founder's Canadian Breakfast Stout on tap. Currently ranked #5 on the Beer Advocate Top 250 List, this beer will not last long. CBS is an Imperial stout brewed with a blend of coffees and imported chocolates and then aged in spent bourbon barrels that have most recently been aging pure Michigan maple syrup... Yep, all of that is true. In addition to CBS we will also be tapping Backwoods Bastard, Blushing Monk, Curmudgeon, Centennial IPA and Rubaeus" See yall there!
Apparently, it is from 6 pm-7 pm on May 20th, a Wednesday. Sauce: http://bangersaustin.com. Probably arrive an hour early for parking and other Murphy's Law shmuckery. Definitely want to see this. I had CBS at Flying Saucer for their Founder's event. Yes, it's worth the hype. Yes, it's better than KBS. Yes, I want more in my mouth hole. Hope to see y'all saddled up near the bar. Cheers.
Speaking of Flying Saucer, did anyone check out their Prairie takeover last night? Was it worth it (i.t.o prices).. I admittedly have never been to a FS so I'm not sure what to expect. I saw they had some pretty good stuff on tap, and in bottles including BABomb.
When did they get the keg? I've been told by a lot of people that the original rendition fell off greatly after just a couple of weeks.
Prices were typical bar markups. I had Pirate Bomb! for $18/bottle. About what I'd expect for that at a bar.
Paid $10 for 11 oz at Flying Saucer Sugarland Saturday. No line, no waiting, no special golden ticket. On tap for most of the day.
