Founders Cellar Raid 2015

I will post what bottles they have (if any) when I go. My fear is that the employees may not know either and you just have to catch it right when they bring them out. Could really be hit or miss.

 

Normally I am all for the free flow of information on the internet. In this instance I say.....shhhhhhh.......

If someone wants to know what they have, hop in the car and find out. I have my day picked out to head out there, I am really hoping this stays low key

Nice! This makes me wish I still lived in Grand Rapids..

 

Guess I'll have to randomly stop by there several times this week, good thing its is basically on my way home, more interested in the possibilities of bottles than tapped beer at this point.

 

FWIW, a few people on Facebook have said a store employee told them no bottles today.

 

I can. Confirm. Was there before they opened and employee said no bottle drops today.

I really don't care about the bottles. My plan is to go there Saturday with the little lady and spend a day in Grand Rapids. rather than sit at Founds all day, I wouldn't mind grabbing some grub around town. My fear is I miss the special taps. So for me, more info the better, for what's on draft.

 

Word is that CBS will be on tap all day today. It is on now and has been for the last 2 hours.

 

Same here. Wanting to make sure if I make the drive over that they've got enough flowing that there will still be some once I get there. Crowds today? I'm sure Sat will be a lot different than on a Monday.

 

Monday nights are normally quite busy because it's cheap pint night. Locally it's known as "college" night because all the broke college kids show up.

 

Wonder if this is any coincidence with a case of Sweet Repute showing up in a local shop recently.

 

Cran-Cub was a cranberry Panther Cub blend. Panther Cub was a Maple Bourbon Barrel Aged Porter with Vanilla Beans. How they got cran cub, I'm not sure. There was a Cranberry Stout on tap around the same time, so this could be a blend or they could have just dry hopped with cranberries.

That being said BA Cran could be something completely new...as in BA Cranberry Stout.

Went down and had a tasty CBS last night - was flowing all day. Read on facebook somewhere that there wouldn't be any bottles until Wednesday, and then read from someone else that if bottles were released they would be put out right when the store opens. All this coming from people saying "no one will tell you anything about anything!" Taking today off but heading back down on Wednesday and probably every other day this week to taste the offerings and try my luck.
