Supposedly 6.....drove like a bat out of hell from chitown and got here at 7:15....no CBS for me....all gone. Place is packed. My white whale eludes me again. Drinking KBS is nice tho.

 

Good question, I had another one as well. Anyone know what vintage this CBS is considered....is this '15 or '16?

Or, is it the 2014 batch from last year's raid?

 

I had CBS on tap here in Chicago a couple weeks back and the Founders rep said it was still last year's, and that there isn't a new batch yet. No idea how true that is, but just passing on what I heard.

 

It's 2014 CBS, tappings today were noon and 6. I assume it will be the same the next couple days.

 

I think it's awesome that Founders did things (and does things) the way they do. Some people probably feel really entitled, and as such, think that being in line (one that THEY started) gets them a 6 pack of bottles. It's great to see a company actually keeping things a surprise.

Stopped by this afternoon for a few hours and had a few.

Beer Summary:
Sleeper Cell - One of Founders' better IPAs, Hell of a beer. Thanks @BEERschlitz for recommending this one.
Sleeper Cell Firkin (Lime, Cherry, Chamomile) - Take out the chamomile and this would be great/ With the chamomile, it just misses the target for me.
CBS - There is a reason this one ranks as highly as it does... Love the fact that I've been able to enjoy this one regularly.
KBS - Great as always on tap.
KBS BLAST - After spending some time in Blis hot sauce barrels, KBS becomes a remnant of its former self... And not in a good way.


About shit myself when I saw the $50 bill (just beer), good thing the Wife and a few others added to the tab lolol!

No bottles, ever. BA crab is on tap along with kbs, timed tappings of CBS. Check the cellar raid event page on Facebook, founders addressed the "people showing up at 9am for bottles that aren't there" issue.

 

Also sleeper cell is still on tap, and that beer alone is worth showing up for!

 

CBS as we speak! Definitely a Whale for me.

I stopped by around 1:00PM and got me a CBS. I walked away with a growler of Sleeper Cell. I wish I could of stayed but I had a longer drive and didn't want to drink another 10+% beer. I did finally make it to the City Market and had lunch at Fish Lads. That place is a winner. I will stop by there again for sure.

 

Man, I want Sleeper Cell, BA Cran and BA Honeystuff but I want all the CBS!

Do they have any Project Pam in the cooler?
