$20 per 4-pack at the grocery. Hard pass for me.

Wow. That's a lot. Wonder if there'll be enough around in a couple months to hit the discount shelves? $7.99 a 4-pack would get my attention. I did buy 3 4-packs at $16.99 in Lancaster but stopped there. I like it and think it'll age well.

They just need to handle their distribution better. Where I live you can still get KBS, Dankwood, Barrel Runner, and CBS easily however Old Curmudgeon is gone everywhere. I agree this one is likely to age extremely well.

    That's fine by me.

The only people that will be bothered by that are the hypebeasts. And that's fine by me as well. :joy:

Where in Lancaster? $19.99/pack at this place off the Fruitville pike. Got a 2017 Deschutes Cultivateur for $5 (from $23) on the discount rack at this place, so maybe you'll get your wish.

I've seen this phrase countless times and am confused. Hard pass.. does that mean it was hard to pass up? Or Easy to pass up? Because if it's the latter why not just say that? Or did you pass it by hard? Again .I've got no dog in the fight .I wouldn't buy it at that price either.. just wanted some clarification and you seem like the guy to ask.

It means NO. Easy to pass up.

Edit: Which is nuts in this instance bc Better Half is a superb beer, and much cheaper per ounce than the inferior CBS.

It's really really good, but like most things Founders it's a bit pricy.

If I had to vote for the best beer I've had this year this one would be the one. They went overboard on the sweet description IMO it's not. I think that hurt them, guys are thinking diabetes induced death after having one. It's so not the case.

    Indeed. See definition #2

    https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/hard_pass

FWIW, Urban Dictionary has some pretty funny, but wildly inaccurate, alternate definitions for this, if you're into that kinda thing.

Wouldn't buy CBS (or the vast majority of other beers) at that price either.

Tons of this on the shelves at my local grocery and bottleshop. Seen 4pks and bombers, not sure what the price was on either but there is definitely a lot of it sitting on shelves here in Hampton Roads.
