I work for a distributor, and we wholesale KBS and Devil Dancer for $88/case. That makes cost on a 4-pk $14.67 - needless to say I'd love to shop at your store.

Was in the Founders taproom yesterday and they're selling DD for $4.75/btl and $19 4-pk. That's the cheapest I've seen anywhere in the area.

As for this year's offering, I've only had the draft but I LOVE it. Tastes pretty much how I remember last year's draft. I agree that the taste profile fits in more with a barleywine (DD reminds me of Sweet Repute's bigger, meaner brother), but if your preconceived expectations of what a triple IPA should taste like are ruining your experience, that's a shame. Not comparable to Hoptimum, etc. IMHO.

Well it's around here for $12.99/4-pack...still overpriced.

This may be a naive question, but is it possible the taxes are lower in Florida than your areas, even the brewery's local area? I am fairly certain we aren't getting a special discount on the cases. Other releases certainly have negotiated casel deals but not stuff like KBS.

Man, some people here are pretty harsh. Everyone is always feeding into the hate for certain beers so much so that it seems they think it's cool to show disdain for something before other people do. When reviewing or discussing beer, maybe pretend you're discussing it with the person who actually brewed it, face to face. Would you seriously call someones beer atrocious and a drain pour to their face? If so, then cool, that's how you wish people to perceive you, but come on, the recycled comments about beers being drain pours and undrinkable are pretty cliche. Bring something else to the table about why you don't like it. This craft industry forged from hard working individuals is being subjected to the treatment of the likes of domestic brews and corporations. Come on...

I'm having this for the first time right now ,and while I wouldn't call it an IPA, it is a damn fine hoppy barleywine. Beautiful deep ruby color, not as much alcohol as I was expecting, only drawback is the price.

just had a few of these, great beer. nice and thin-medium body, just how I like it, not too sweet and the bitterness lingers for a long time. I love it. I think these people are beer horders calling it bad!

Op post convinced me to skip it this year. That and the price. I actually loved that dank, dank flavor after I let it warm up back then. That is why I wanted to revisit it. I saw it today for $24 a 4 pack. Decided fuck that. I can buy 2 six packs of something else and a bomber from Lagunitas for that price. That is just stupid from a basic DIPA. Yeah I called it a DIPA and not a Triple Ipa.

I like how the store I shop at only sold it in singles. If it was sold in a 4 pack, I definitely would not have purchased it. But, because I could buy a couple I was more prone to. I haven't tried this in a few years, but if it sucks, it won't feel like a total waste of money.
