Founders Distribution in MD

    I don't mean to be Mr. Buzz-kill, but has anyone heard anything further about this? I still have not heard anything indepedently from any local source (in Baltimore at least), and at this point I would have expected to have received something from Max's about an upcoming Founder's release event. So far, nothing.

    So enough with the guess work. I just spoke to Casey at Max's. According to him, it's still going to be a while (he's heard that they're going to distribute in Florida first), but that they're definitely coming. He confirmed that Max's will be doiing the kick-off when it takes place, which he predicted will maybe be in July. That's his prediction at this point.

    Thanks for the update and info. I believe they have also nailed down a deal with a distributor in Texas and have a release date there of April 8th. So of the 3 original states in negotiation with them, there is only 1 left out in the cold. Good job Maryland.

    So any new updates on when Founders is coming?I haven't heard anything. I'm impatiently waiting.

    Last I heard, they had to pull out of their plans to distribute in Florida and Maryland, as they decided they weren't making enough beer to supply either market. That was months ago (I no longer live in Maryland, so maybe there's been some change or update that I missed), and I've heard nothing since. However, what I said previously still goes. Founders coming into Maryland would be a very big deal, and you can be sure there will be all kinds of announcements about it on BA, as well as local beer stores and beer bars. As noted previously, Max's will almost certainly do a huge release party when the happy day finally comes, and I'm sure the info will be posted on their website. So until those things happen, my recommendation is to not get your hopes up, no matter what rumors you hear, including ones that come from the brewery itself. Cheers!

    Well it's good to know they have beer actually waiting to come to MD. That's better than "We'd like to be in Maryland in 2013"

    I've been hoping for this to come to maryland for such a long time. The government shut down is over. BRING FOUNDERS TO MARYLAND ALREADY!!!!! :angry:

    For those of you who can get into NoVa, I've seen tons of Founders at Total Wines and Wegmans. Not to brag, as that is not my intent, recently I've picked up a few 4 packs of Breakfast Stout, so Founders is definitely available, just across the river!

    I asked on their FB page about coming here and the 67k of beer they have for MD. They replied, "We're working on it right now, but don't have anything to announce at this point. Stay tuned!" Maybe their still trying to work iwth the TTB?

    Bah! I'll believe Founder's is coming to Maryland when I'm actually holding a glass of Breakfast Stout over at Max's.

    I can get to Philly in a decent amount of time and they have Founder's coming out of their noses. At least that's some consolation for me.
