I've shipped back from the West Coast several times. Depending on your travel situation it can be cheaper than paying for a checked bag. Sure you have to wait 5/6 days for the beer but so what.

So I had this on tap at Meridian Pint last week and it was shocking how different it was from the bottled version. The bottled one was almost like a junior barrel-aged barleywine, with a good amount of barrel and vanilla, while the hops were rather subdued. On tap, the hops played a much bigger role, it was a lot more bitter and the bourbon wasn't nearly as prominent. Both were great, but in different ways.

this is why I miss the repeated review ratings per serving on this site (tap, bottle, can, nitro, cask, etc..) now you unfortunately only have one per self. I can understand their reasoning but I sort of miss it.

Wondering if it has to do with "hop freshness" (unless that's a myth ) or the different storing conditions of bottle vs keg. This seems like just the type of beer that would be effected by those factors..
