Thanks for that report on devil dancer, was interested but if its too sweet without enough hops to tone it down I'll pass. Double Trouble will be next if I can find it.

I cannot wait until I can find this. One of my area stores is still selling last year's batch. While it's still awesome, I'm looking forward to picking up a fresh batch soon.

Noooooooo, this beer is one I look forward to everyear. This beer hides the abv nicely as its balanced citrus malt background explodes in your mouth. A very smooth sipper, I love it. Tomorrow I will try it.

Had this and a Backwoods Bastard at the taproom Tuesday. My mouth was very happy to say the least.

I think the Double Trouble bottles I had prior were on the old side (Mostly malt). This was my first time having it on draft and it was very well balanced. Plenty of hops and a very nice sweet note reminiscent of Hopslam.

For anyone wondering, Double Trouble and Devil Dancer are very different IMO. I don't expect anyone to like Devil Dancer that isn't also a big fan of very aggressive American Barleywines like Stone Old Guardian.

Double Trouble on the other hand is a very easy-drinking IIPA like Stone Enjoy By, Victory Dirt Wolf, etc. It uses the same two hops, (likely at different ratios) simcoe and amarillo, as All Day IPA. It is pale/golden in a glass, far from the ruby color of Devil Dancer. I would call Devil Dancer my favorite strong ale, and Double Trouble my favorite IIPA. Cheers
