Founder's Expanding Yet Again

Nothing. Since its your first time having it, rest assured you will love it. Speaking for myself only, my palate has a pretty shitty memory so for me to pull subtle differences in batches of beer from one year to the next is pretty difficult. Then again, I'm not a professionally trained cicerone like everyone else appears to be. And I'm definitely not that cool either. Enjoy your first KBS!

 

I will add this. I had the opportunity to do a vertical side by side of 12, 13, and 14 KBS and the general opinion of the group was that KBS with one year age on it was superior. The heat had mellowed on it but all the beautiful flavors that make KBS what it is were still there. The 2012 however was flat and lackluster.
