founders porter and founders breakfast stout taste a bit to much the same to me

i mean, there both good beers its just i dont see enough of a taste difference to spend money on a 4 pack of founders breakfast stout when i can get a 6 pack of founders porter, maybe its just me.the only other stout ive ever drank was Guinness

Porter has the bitter roast flavor but not the coffee or chocolate.

Dark Penance is pretty stellar...bummed that it is muscling out Reds Rye in the bottling line though.

let me know if you get stuck. I'll be in GR for work and plan on buying a case at Founders on the 3rd. happy to share.

Southeast Michigan: crap prices and crap distribution times. It's kind of annoying.

Has anyone seen Founders Harvest in Mass yet?

Still waiting for Ohio too. Should be here any time I would imagine.

Picked up FBS and Dark Penance here in DC. No sign of Hop Harvest yet though.

Looking for an honest reply...is the Dark Pennance worth picking up a case for $69.99? Or should I pay terrible PA pack prices to try it first? I'm a HUGE black ipa fan.

As far as Black IPAs, its the best I've had. Then again, I'd never buy a case of something I've not tasted. Roasty, bitter. Nice. But thats my take.

Harvest Ale is now in the Philly area. Bottled 10/1. Just picked up a case...one of my favorite seasonals!

I picked up my BS a few weeks back and was so happy when it came it in! Last year it flew off the shelves before I realized where it went. I just tried the Dark Penace last week and it is very good, not up my alley, but good nonetheless. I am hoping that I find the Harvest and Mosaic on my weekend beer run to MO as I am interested to see how those are. Since my store started carrying Founders, I and most of Central AR, have been a big fan.

It hasn't gotten a ton of love around here, but I really like Mosaic. It's a great, exceptionally clean, sessionable IPA. Also a good post-workout beer for me. And even though the bottles I'm seeing are about 2 months old now, I haven't noticed it falling off at all yet.

I think it's one of the best black IPAs that I've ever had.

FBS tasting as good as always, I got to get back to buy some more. I saw the Dark Pennance sitting there, I might have to buy some now based on the above comments. No Harvest Ale that I saw yet.

Picked up Harvest Ale and Backwoods Bastard last week in NY when it arrived locally

Harvest Ale is good, but thinking I like the Double Trouble a lot better now and next year will buy more of that when it is fresh as still seeing it on shelves so supply seems to be good too.

Dark Penance is the bees knees.

Maybe my palette is evolving but this year's Harvest Ale didn't blow me away like it did last year. Still very delicious but it seemed the flavor was different a bit
