    "We're happy to announce a new event...the Founders Firkin Freezeout, taking place on Saturday, February 15, 2014!

    It's a free outdoor-centric event featuring FIFTY FIRKINS, live ice carving, BBQ, and many "cool" surprises. Firkins start flowing at noon! Hope to see you there!"

    UMMM....So....This is right before the beerfest....and then I leave for Mardi Gras the following weds...for a week....so I will be drunk for about 20 straight days....

    Really hope they have the Faux CBS that was the FBS with maple syrup and bourbon oak chips.

    I tweeted them they said no list but it would be worth my 2.5 hr drive....prob not going sadly

    Founders very rarely list what special beers they are tapping at event, kbs day, black party, founders fest, have never had list of what special pours there will be...

    Actually, the Black Party and Harvest Party posters that go up before those events do list some of the beers one can expect if they attend.

    My expectation for this event is many similar base beers with different ingredients. If you've followed their FB page and their regular Wednesday Firkin announcements, it should be similar to that. Last week's was Centennial, double dry hopped with Centennial and Melon hops. This past Saturday they had Centennial with Green Tea. They've had variations of Breakfast Stout with double coffee, chocolate and hot peppers. The Wednesday firkins are typically Class I or II, but I bet they bring out some Class III firkins this weekend.
