Founders harvest ale in NYC area

Wasn't on Hunterdon's list for NJ for next week.. tis a shame the longer it takes to get here to NJ the more it fades.. think it was bottled by Founders early last week.. was hopeful to get it next week too.. maybe PA will get it in earlier than NJ : /

 

I was told in Bucks County, PA today to expect it early/mid November. Thats a shame!!!

 

Founders is doing their release of it this weekend with a party at the brewery.. they tweeted they bottle it last week... it is a shame they are sitting on it internally and i guess will start shipping it out next week.. meaning distributors will probably get it in depending either the week of 22nd or 29th.. distributors getting it the week of the 22nd will prob push it out week of 29th.. distrib getting on the 29th will push out week of 11/5.. add a week to each of those for distributors who shuffle their feet and you have mid/late november when it was bottled early October : /

it's still be a great beer but i think founders could have done better in pushing it out quicker once it was bottled.. hope distributors do their damndest to move it out quick once they get it

 

I can't wait to get my hands on this stuff! Anyone sees it on Long Island, please post here. Hopefully soon!

 

Wow, relax guys... shipping 2 weeks after bottling won't kill the beer at all and I'm sure it will be just as delicious when you get it.
Enjoy By has totally spoiled everyone and given unrealistic expectations. Its not so easy to arrange for distribution to occur the day after bottling!!
This "I NEED MY IPA BEFORE IT'S EVEN BOTTLED" mentality is getting crazy.

 

Troegs sat on Nugget Nectar this year and you could really tell the difference from the year before.

 

Do you know for sure that it hasn't been shipped out yet or just estimating these dates? I only ask because I know there have been several past beers (like KBS) where Founders shipped them and asked distributors and stores to not sell anything until a certain date and some places just made them available right when they got them. I'm not sure if they stopped shipping this way because of issues or still do it. Looks like it was bottled on 10/5 according to BeerPulse.

 

^it's an educated estimation based on a few things.. distrib's could be sitting on it as per Founders instruction but that seems a tad assine with a fresh wet hop brew. I figured it was due to them doing the release party on 10/13 that it didn't get shipped out before.. if that is the case.. i have no confirmation, just my speculation.

I don't need it before it's bottled, that isn't my mentality... my mentality is that with a fresh wet hop ale they should do their best to ship it as quick as possible. I could be way wrong though, maybe some markets will have it this week or next. Seems NJ will be lucky to get it last week of October 29th - 11/2.. which isn't bad.. just means i'll have to drink it quicker when i do get some : )

 

I'm pretty sure they already shipped the bottles ahead of the Harvest Fest itself. I'd be surprised if you didn't see it somewhere by the end of the week.

 

Harvest Ale just landed in New York. Start looking for it at accounts that usually carry Founders.

My apologies. Harvest Ale should be at the NYC distributor around Oct 30/31.

 

70 miles north of NYC but halftime in POK has it if you're in the area.

 

NJ it'll be in stores 10/22

 

Anywhere in Hoboken have Harvest ale yet?

 

I'm hearing it will be at the distributor by the end of the week, so it should be on shelves a day or two after that.
