Has anyone seen this in the Milwaukee area yet? If not, is there an estimated release date?

Don't think it's been released anywhere yet. If I had to guess, I'd say it hits GR in about a week and Milwaukee a few days later.

Other thing: if recent history is any indication, we probably won't see it around here (SE Michigan) until the end of the month, so let me apologize in advance for any passive-agressive comments from me and my neighbors directed at people in Wisconsin, Georgia, Texas, etc., for getting Michigan beer weeks before us.

I saw this post in the Beer Releases Thread, which is why I asked the question:

Grand Rapids yesterday is the only place I know of so far. I'm guessing Kzoo on Friday.

It will show up in WI when it is about a month old.

And that's the case for just about every hoppy Founders beer unfortunately. Month old Dark Penance just landed in MKE yesterday (not that it's too old to buy and drink, just would be nice to try it super fresh as well).

Keep in mind that Founders expanded some distribution this year, so I wonder if Wisconsin may see less of this than we did last year. I was able to buy 4-packs regularly for a few weeks before the well ran dry.

I blame our distributors for that. Even if they just got it last week- it's their job to get breweries to send them fresh beer.

GR just got DP last week with the month old bottle date too.

My 4 pack was 9-17. Really don't get why it takes so long to get to market in Chicago. We get week old Sculpin,Firestone Walker and Stone but Founders and Bells are almost always a month+. Can't tell you how many times I passed on the 2 because the other stuff was fresher. Does it have to do with Michigan, the distributor or each brewery? Weather maybe a factor in the winter?

I picked it up yesterday in GR (fresh off the truck) with a bottled date of 9/30. It was fantastic.

Seemed to be much more FIS in WI this year. It lasted for months around Madison, which was unusual.

Yeah- FIS and even FBS stayed around but I think they're brewing more of those than ever before. KBS seemed scarce to me, and the Backstage series was pretty much non-existent until the IPL. At least it felt that way in Milwaukee.

I paid $12.99 today for Harvest Ale. I paid $9.99 to the same shop a year ago. I noticed all the Bell's stouts todays were $2 higher than last year at the same shop except Expedition matched it $17.99 price from last year.
