Imperial Stout for me is what a genuine Imperial Stout is supposed to be..
Breakfast Stout is very good but way to heavy on the coffee for the style IMO, but that's OK if you go into it knowing that up front..

I just hope that all the Beer Nerds in Northern KY pass on this year's vintage. So I can get some during Summer Vacation!

I think I agree with this. If you forced me to choose at any random moment, I'd probably lean towards FIS. Or just say, "HEY LOOK OVER THERE!" take them both, and run away laughing manically.

I prefer FIS. I like that it gets it delicious and dark roasty flavor without throwing in any adjuncts (coffee, chocolate),not that there's anything wrong with that. Like others have said, it's pretty much the picture perfect imperial stout. That said, the 2 bottles of FBS I've had this year have been spectacular...it's an awesome beer when fresh. Win-Win I say

Can't wait to try to buy a case of this, as I absolutely love it. Still have about 4-4 packs left from last year. Such a freaking world class impy stout!

Damn good Impy stout.. Not as good fresh as Stone, but with age it's WORLD CLASS.

I will buy my half case, and not drink but a bottle or two fresh. It's simply amazing with age on it. Chocolate notes all over this world.

We just got BWB last week in NJ.

I'll probably make the trip up to lower NY state in a couple weeks to grab some rather than wait the 6-8 week delay we seemingly have on Founders products.

I prefer the traditional imperial stout to FBS. This is one of my favorites.

I wouldn't qualify it with"non-barrel aged". To me this is the best stout on the planet. I meant to stock up last year before it was gone but when I went back to grab a case it was too late. I will not make the same mistake again this year.

I had it for the first time this year & it blew my mind. I missed out on it in my area but was able to grab a couple of 4 packs on a trip to Ohio. I hope I don't have a hard time finding it this time around.

Never had it. How does it compare to Bell's Expedition?

I am not in the majority in that I do not like the FBS very much. Way too strong of a coffee taste for my liking, how does this one compare to that? I said I wouldn't be buying anymore of the BS but I want to try this one if it's not too coffeeish. What is the flavor profile?

anyone know the price on this? it comes in 4 packs as well correct? i am assuming florida will get a lot of this like we did breakfast stout. i too, want to stock up on this, as its an awesome "everyday" stout that i can buy a couple 4 packs without thinking about costs or rarity as it should be pretty widely avaialable.
