Same here. Had a 10 ounce pour Friday night at a place that also had BCBS on tap for a comparison.

That's kind of excessive. I'd at least wear underwear when looking for beer =P

Just got a 4 pack of the 2013. So the coffee has faded that much, making it not taste what it usually tastes like? I should try to trade for the 2014 batch?

    IS THIS WHAT YOU'RE SAYING!!!?!?

Probably my favorite beer ever. I just hope the brewery event isn't a complete sh*t show when it comes to getting tickets.

I swear that I read somewhere last year that Founders recommends against aging KBS. Am I hallucinating again?

Founders doesn't recommend aging any of their beers. They've always stuck by the mantra that all of their beers are the best right out of the gate.

KBS is generally better fresh as opposed to aged, however, when '13 came out, I did a three year vertical and found I liked them '11, '13, and '12, in order.

One of the few highly rated BA stouts I've yet to experience. Hope I get lucky this year and get my hands on a couple.

Awesome, can't wait to get my BCBS-lite!

No seriously, KBS is amazing and I can't wait to pick some up on the 1st. last year I went a bit overboard and bought like 15. Gonna stick to 1 or 2 four packs at most in 2014.

There is still a ton of coffee in the '13 KBS, but I find there to be next to no barrel coming through (this was also the case fresh), especially compared to previous vintages.

I felt the same way the first time I had it. The barrel was minimal, but still good.

Not a good comparison, BCBS has no coffee.

BCBCS > KBS. Just by a little. My opinion of course. I'll still be drinking KBS come April.

I may get a few for trade bait. I like BCBS so much more it's not even funny. With that said I'm not a fan of FBS at all so I think the coffee infusion doesn't work for me. A barrel ages FIS would be awesome.
