Pretty much what everyone else said that lives in MI. Ticket to the release or maybe 1-4 bottles if you know a shop owner.

LOL...what city do you live in that still would have Black Note and KBS in November? Or, do you mean they saved them until the BCBS release which also seems absurd when you know you will already have the traffic.

I'm not even sure if my stores will get any, but if they do it'll be one case. 1 or 2 per customer, will be gone in literal minutes. Although last time one store saved some and aged it and then sold it at a markup on Black Friday.
I'm not going to bend over backwards to get it this year, I had 2014 and it was VERY underwhelming.

Im not sure if i remember seeing any last year in my area of mass. If anyone has any leads as to where it will pop up, that would be awesome.

I might be shunned here guys.. But I am not really looking too forward to it. I mean don't get me wrong ill still get it if its at or below retail price. But I'm not too excited for it... Call me crazy.

Big Red Liquors in Bloomington, IN. Saved 'em up for when they knew a lot of people would be pouring in.

Came across it in Pittsburgh last year by pure luck. There were 4 bottles left on the shelf, 1 per customer. It is very good, but Breakfast Stout is every bit as good to me and much easier to acquire.

this year, not even looking. i've talked to several stores leading up to the releases over the last couple years. it's either first come first serve(i can't get there that early), or enter the raffle(no luck yet), or one bottle limit until it's gone(that's how i grabbed one last year).

for all the driving, checking social media, dragging the kids along, timing with work or day off, or just general luck, it's just not worth it. i like the beer a lot, but just too much work.

By the time I hear of it landing in the area, it's already gone.

A lot of places around me get it on draft. I'm happy with that.

Here is what I have experienced with Kbs in western mi:
Shop gets case won't sell to public.
    1 bottle limit.
    10-15 dollars a bottle.
Know someone at a bottle shop, so you get a 4-pack.
    Get tickets for Founders' release.
    Raffle.
    Etc.
The point is it is becoming more and more of hassle to obtain.

I wonder if in future, now that Founders expanded, if KBS will be more available? I was lucky to get 2 four paks last year, most others had to get singles around here.

We usually get a two-bottle purchase limit, and you have to either strike fast or call to have them held because the small amounts that get distributed here will be gone before you know it. Helps to be a regular customer in a store and on a first-name basis with the manager, too.

Fingers crossed on picking up at least a single. More SW Michigan hopefulness here.
