I wouldn't be surprised if they busted out an unannounced keg of this during the KBS release to get the hype train rolling, though.

I think I had this at Founders Fest last June, it was just called barrel aged Double Trouble if I remember correctly, it was a specialty draft sometime in the middle of the afternoon. Wasn't bad but wasn't anything crazy. Maybe someone can confirm that this was in fact on tap at Founders Fest last June lol?

    Frangelic Mountain Brown
    Devil Dancer
    KBS
    Curmudgeon

    Centennial with ginger

Ahhh... it was Looking Glass I was thinking of, which according to BA is a brandy barrel double trouble

Ok founders lets step it up a bit cbh decent but doesnt compare to heavy hitting old ales and barley wines. frangelic was weak and I forgot what even came after that. They are dropping faster than pubescent testicles

Can't say that I'm terribly pumped for this style. I'll gladly try it if I come across it but to me a barrel aged IPA doesn't sound as appealing as say barrel aged founders imperial russian stout.

I am probably not going to search for another Backstage release until Black Biscuit or (wishful thinking) Cashew Mountain Brown gets released in bottles.

I would be more than happy to spend $40 on a bottle of Cashew Mountain Brown. Easily one of the five best non-sour beers I have ever had.

Black Biscuit!! I have been wanting that in a bottle ever since I had it at summerfest a couple of years ago

So, Founders kicked BPT to the curb after the KBS debacle, and is now going with Eventbrite. They also pushed the ticket sales back a week. Be sure to bookmark the following page:

I'll probably give it a try once it hits shelves, but I will not be chasing trucks as others have said.
