Founder's Next Backstage Release: ?????

Besides better half, doom, and smoked porter I've had every backstage beer in one form or another and I was never disappointed but then again I went in having realistic expectations.

I didn't think mango magnifico was going to summon a topless angel riding a magical winged unicorn that flys us into the sun set.

I thought it was an ale brewed with habaneros and mangos that was 10% abv same with FMB and bolt cutter. Imagine my shock when they tasted roughly as described!

 

So, the topless angel on the unicorn I saw was a coincidence? Cause it happens a lot when I open Founders beer.

 

What you saw was a hallucination it comes specifically from taking to many hallucinogens. Luckily I have the remedy for your affliction.

First step is to immediatly change into a batman costume (christian bale, george cloony etc any one will do time is of the essence) follow that by standing in a shallow pan or tub. Once you've got all that put your left foot out and shake it all about (but not like the hokey pokey for gods sake you don't wanna look like an idiot do you?!). This is where it gets tricky, next you wanna simultaneously whittle a miniature scale replica of an onion and two other vegetables out of Honduran mahogany. Once you complete all three vegetables you should be ready for the final step which is to stop taking hallucinogenic drugs. If you do all those things properly you will be cured, I guarantee it.

Agree. I've never had a "bad" backstage beer. A few I thought would care better in 4 packs (FMB/BC). People automatically associate non-barrel aged stouts from founders as disappointments....

 

I'd rather have everything in a 4 pack.

 

I had the Doublethink IPA tonight and it was divine...

 

My favorite is the people that bitch about lack of CBS and lack of KBS....as if the two weren't mutually exclusive....

 

It would be pretty cool if a brewery could make that happen though...I'd buy that beer

 

Have missed the "IPL" every time it has been on. Does anyone with commercial brewing know what it takes for a brewery to start lagering beers? I just ask because I know Founders hasn't, from what I understand, done a lager in 10 years.

 

Lagers take time and a powerful glycol chiller to get proper fermentation temperature.

 

Having just recently had Kiwi Rising and Mass Rising, on the they can be "really good", I can confirm. I kinda hope Founders does this. Would be a solid Backstage offering, imho.

 

Jack's Abby is a beast! I'm sippin' on a bunch of JA stuff right now! I'd be glad to see an IPL from Founders.

 

To be fair, beer nerds/geeks who bitch about everything come in all shapes, sizes, ages, races, and varying level of body hair. Science. We all be bitchin.

 

Just saw on Twitter that it will in fact be an IPL. Can't wait, never had one before.

When was Smoked Porter released?? They said this one will be released August 1st. Seems like a bit of a wait.

 

Excited to try this.
