Rats! Strange that I knew about the year round thing for a while now but didn't pick up on the no-six-pack thing.

That stinks. Are they still selling All Day at the standard six pack price? I will never spend $11 on that tiny and average 6 pack again.

As far as I know, price point hasn't changed.

That beer is a favorite in my house, I think 12 packs will be available when the cans roll out of the brewery...I will enjoy that. Until more breweries put out good session IPA's (Lagunita's Daytime and Brau Brothers Hopsession being my top 2), Founders (above average) example of the style will continue to get my business.

    Breakfast Stout? KBS? Or, both?
Most places around here tore apart the four packs of KBS and sold them as singles last year.

Is this a thread about Red Rye? Or about every other beer by Founders...:astonished:

In the business world, we call this a "profit."

Of course, those $6 4/pks you central timezone folks see will wind up being about $10 out here in the Boston area, which dampens my otherwise unbridled enthusiasm somewhat.

I wish this would be a $6 4-pack deal, but I seriously doubt it, pretty much all Founder's 4-packs (except KBS) go for $10-12 here in Michigan (sans some kind of sale if they make it to a grocery store).

Just checked their website - Red Rye draft is year round. Bottling is seasonal in the fall, hence the thread. Kegs are easier to keep fresh I would think.

I was wondering on that, I just had it on tap at a local bar the other night and it was fantastic. I wonder if they keg it year round and just bottle now in the seasonal form?

Not trying to change the subject, but $11 6 packs of Breakfast would be the greatest thing ever in the craft beer world! Yes very sad that All Day ruined that myself. Apples and oranges to compare all day's impact on the craft beer world, compared to Breakfast Stout.

Agreed, I wonder why they recanted their announcement of 6 pack breakfast stouts for 10$. It better not have to do with All Day IPA being year round now

I'd be pissed if that was the case. Do you know what the 12 pack of All Day will be going for?

Super lame move Founders. But fortunately, there are plenty of other rye beers out there for me to choose from..

That Missouri mishap of $5.99/4 pack was a distributor mishap. $10.99 is the price point on a 4 pack of Red's Rye.

We're also seeing 12 packs of Centennial IPA in Southern ILfor $22, this being a place who has odd prices in the past.

12 packs of All Day are said to arrive here in the next week or so and be sold somewhere in the neighborhood of $16.99 or 17.99 / 12pk.

I've seen All Day priced very inconsistently. Saw it on sale for $7.49/sixer all the way to $11.99/sixer.

I can't say if it's the exact reasoning, but they pretty much inferred it with their announcement: http://foundersbrewing.com/latest-news/2013/all-day-ipa-moving-to-year-round-lineup/

All Day 12-packs are $18 out the door at the brewery: http://beeradvocate.com/community/threads/founders-all-day-ipa-in-cans-12pks-this-summer.78759/

And, to prevent further thread derail, FBS 4/6 pack discussion does have it's own thread here: http://beeradvocate.com/community/threads/founders-breakfast-stout-6-packs.82675/

    So. Red's Rye. Cool right?

$10.99 for a 4 pack? No f'ing way! That's an outrageous price. I like Red's Rye but there's really nothing special about it to warrant that kind of a price.
