got some in IN yesterday, didn't have much though.

pretty tasty stuff, if you are into beer-flavored raspberry juice. a fun one to split amongst friends or to "i told you so" the girl at the party that "doesn't like any beer ever".

Nice work founders, now about that mango pepper beer....

I might try to mix it with Odio Equum. Rubaeus isn't tart enough and Odio isn't raspberry enough.

Decided to go with RIS and Rubaeus today. Unfortunately the store had sold that last four pack of RIS so I had to settle for Breakfast Stout. My verdict is that Rubaeus on its own is a bit too sweet and one dimensional, but mixed with a good stout it makes a phenomenal combination.

As far as straight fruit beers go (nothing funky added), I think Rubaeus has taken my top spot, followed by Raspberry Tart, Belgian Red, and a big gap before Cerise. If allowing stronger/imperial then it loses out to Blushing Monk. Rubaeus is nowhere near as sweet as some of the reviews lead me to believe it would be, and I tend to avoid beers that fall on the sweeter side.

You guys might be going about this all wrong. I just added a splash to some Festina Peche, and it was awesome.

Awesome. Just had Rubaeus for the first time tonight and I thought it needed a little something else, BCBS is probably a great mix, tossing fruit beers in stouts is the best mix.

Real nice GI glass too BTW

Awesome! I thought the same thing about Rubaeus. I have been mixing it with a citrusy IPA (Odell IPA or Saga) and has been pretty kickass. But mixing it with a stout seems like it may work too.

I did that same one last night Bob - enjoyed it! I did it as a half and half as well - wonder what it would taste like completely blended as some others have done. I'm thinking of trying one with a Southern Tier Choklat next. Cheers!
