I hope so. Not too many good fruit beers around at a decent price point, and Cerise was a total letdown. I mean, I certainly wouldn't mind drinking kriek all summer, but my bank account (and wife) would probably not be happy about it.

How do you pronounce this beer, by the way? I've been saying it in my head as "Roo-BAY-iss"

Enjoying some Rübæus right now on tap, I would say it's not Raspberry Tart, but it's very refreshing, not too sweet or too tart, and not medicinal like Cherise; this is a great summertime brew!

Had Raspberry Tart last weekend and was very disappointed, not much flavor at all, by comparison, I had the Belgian Red just minutes later and loved it.

I also ran across a store selling 2011 Cerise half off. Both my wife and I found it to be a lot better than the '12 Cerise.

Crazy, I have had a couple bottle of Raspberry Tart sent to me and have loved every bottle, I haven't found the elusive Belgian Red yet though :slight_frown: but I think that Rübæus blows the socks off Cherise comparatively speaking.

God, I hope this is better than Blushing Monk. That beer was such a disappointment.

Loved Blushing Monk. And the fact that I love raspberries much more than cherries makes this one even more exciting for me.

It struck me weird as I love raspberries more than cherries but 3 others agreed with so maybe it was a less than stellar bottle.

I would think closer to Ru as in Paul, Bee as in insect Us as the objective form of we. Unless of course you say encyclopædia as encycloPAYdia, then I don't know what to say : )
