I paid $15 for a 4 pack. I must say, I am not impressed with this beer at all. Very medicinal.

BM me if you have any interest in acquiring NG. I'll be heading to Traverse City next month. Not sure what part of MI you're from.

Yes, I want this. Who wants to send it to me?

Doubt we get any of that good stuff here in Maine.

FYI, Founders has described Blushing Monk as a sort of imperial Rubaeus.

Why does this say it's a July/August beer? Did they just release it early?

What city did you find it in?

It blows my mind that this has been released almost everywhere in Michigan but the SW side!

You sure you didn't accidentally buy a pack of Cerise?

I didn't, but a local store still has four packs of Cerise. I am going to put 3 of them down for a while to see if they improve a bit.

I cleared out a bargain cart of 3 4pks of 2011 Cerise ($5 a 4pk). I don't know if it was the age or the cherry crop but the '11 >> '12. My wife and I tasted them blind and it was hands down.

^ I only go to one shop for my beer, and they haven't gotten Rubaeus yet ... as far as I know.

I'm in SE Michigan. I'll be going Monday to see.

I'm skeptical of people saying they already found this..at the Founders tap room one of the bartenders told me it wasn't going to be released for distribution for another couple weeks, and then another had a long conversation with a couple confused elderly women from Florida who wanted some, reiterating that it wouldn't be available in stores until July.

Anyways my beer knowledge is still pretty limited and my palate unsophisticated, but I had this on tap and it was really good. Tasted like a framboise without the tart kick/aftertaste...so almost like a more mellow lambic, or a mix between a fruit beer and a lambic. Anyone else get this?

Can't believe how many people are worried about the bottle size.

Founders uses two bottle sizes:12oz and 750ml european large format bottles (which is not a bomber).
The picture is clearly a 12oz bottle.

A year does wonders for Cerise.
