Coffee brown ale is one of those beers that sounds like a no-brainer to me, but I don't think I've ever seen it done (at least around me). Looking forward to this one.

Surly Coffee Bender has been a year round offering for years. Fantastic coffee brown if you haven't tried it.

Coffee Browns are great, and there are quite a few popping up. You can't beat Surly Bender...I'm looking forward to trying the Founders version though.

Yeah I'd love to try anything by them, doesn't make its way out to MA though (at least to my knowledge) :slight_frown:

Very excited about this. I always grab one when I'm at the brewery.

I tried it for the first time when I was there too. Very nice coffee flavor without overpowering the base beer.

I know Alaskan Brewery makes one in their Pilot line. I can't think of any others though.

This one sounds good, and I'll pick it up, but I'm pretty difficult to sell on coffee in anything other than a stout/porter. Still, I'm hoping I can find some because I am curious. Especially since Sumatra is one of my origins of choice.

Clown Shoes recently released The Barista, a brown ale with espresso and oatmeal as a year-round offering. Should be pretty easy to track down. Haven't tried it yet, but have heard good things.

No doubt I'll have to pick this one up. Will a coffee brown ale from Founders be good? Is that even a question?

This actually sounds really good and I haven't been all that interested in a Founders release for a while now

Glad Founders is deciding to bottle a brown ale. Given how adept they are at brewing great dark/coffee beers I have little doubt this'll be superb.

Looking forward to this one, rarely disappointed by Founders offerings, hoping this one is no different.

Half Acre in Chicago recently released Shrub Tundra a coffee brown ale - I picked one up, but haven't tried it yet.

Nope. I didn't think so at all. Just high ABV. 9%

Was a fan of Frangelic Mountain Brown a few years ago. I am left to assume it's essentially the same beer but with Sumatra coffee opposed to Hazelnut? If so, I'll probably pick some up. Also, hasn't this beer been around for a while in the tap room?

I'm crossing my fingers that some of this makes it's way into barrels for a future Backstage release. I remember having the barrel aged version at KBS day some years ago and it was stellar.
