I didn't see any threads on this specific beer out there. Saw some mentions in some of the BCBS thread. I picked up a bottle today while BCBS hunting. I am wondering what I just purchased other than the description on their web page. Has anyone opened theirs up? Can you compare it to anything? Can you age it? $17.99 in Rochester. December is an expensive beer month damnit.
I picked up a bottle at Princeton's for $16.99 earlier today. As far as I know, you can age this beer with no problem. There were two reviews, and 4 hads last time I checked. Sounds like it should be very good.
Pretty sure it will taste a lot like Nemesis - http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/1199/55900/ Not sure what the MSRP but i'd imagine not as cheap as Doom or Mango Magnifico. Hoping to land a bottle or two. It's definitely age-able.
Nicely balanced, highly drinkable wheat wine. The maple is subtle and there's more caramel, toffee, and vanilla flavor. Its certainly not intense Fitger's 1100.
Cracked this open last night, oh man, wish I hadn't passed on the second bottle when I had the chance!
I just moved my computer desk for the first time since I dropped a goblet full of '09 Nemesis onto it several years ago. I thought I had cleaned it up but there was some dried dripping on the wall behind it still... For a second I thought about licking the wall.
