    Hey ya'll,

I've been to founders countless times however have never done the production facility tour there. They offer a tour for $10 which they say is about an hour long, and they also offer a tour + tasting for $30 which is over 2 hours long. In the tasting they let you taste some of the more limited stuff however by limited they may just mean KBS or Backwoods which I still have plenty of. So, my question is have any of you done the tour + tasting and if so was it worth the extra $20? What limited release stuff did they have during the tasting in your experience? Obviously the limited beers will be a little different visit to visit, just trying to get a general idea of what I would be in for.

    Cheers!

In a word, HELL YES!!! Went there last year, one of my favorite tours. We had Red's Rye which is N/A now, Frangelic Stout, 2012 Backwoods, Mango Magnifico and All Day. No KBS and we just missed out on CBS by two days, but still a great tour and worth the extra cash

I just did the tour over the holiday weekend. It was ok. A very standard big brewery tour. They also give you a coupon for a glass and a beer. So the tour is basically free.

The tastings looked looked interesting, but kind of a crapshoot as to what you get.

The pub was nice and usually has cool stuff on.

If you're in GR, hit Perrin and Greyline. Perrin for food especially.

OP, I did the $30 tour sometime last year. Worth it in my opinion. In the Centennial Room they opened a mini vertical of KBS, Curmudgeon's Better Half and a few others that were on tap at the moment including CBS. I'm a Founder's homer so it was totally worth it to me.
