That's what I like about non ticketed releases. You do your work, you get your beer. No sleep needed... Can't wait for this!

Most definitely. Plan on leaving GR plenty early to get a good spot in line and start drinking.

 

Please note that you did not have to stand in any line after you got your token. You were free to wander around, grab beers, eat food, meet safely in the parking lot, and keep an eye on the progression of the line, and hop back in once your number was close.

 

After I got my token I headed to Bell's for some eccentric leftovers and did you "meet safely" in the parking lot w/ any of the employees of Dark Horse?

 

Fair criticism. I've been a downer about the logistics, but DH is genuinely trying to make this a better experience than last year and they deserve credit. Regardless of how the bottle sale turns out, the 4elf party will be a great time.

 

I'm just hoping DH is more efficient than Kuhnhenn at filling orders. We were around #120 at Summer Solstice and it took about 5 hours from when they started calling numbers before we could pick up. (My wife was PISSED, so I've lost her as a mule for 4 Elf.)

Edit: not that I really need a mule, these allocations are pretty good.

 

This was my fear, too, but after re-reading the details for the party it sounds like the employees are going to be preparing orders 4hrs in advance of the pick-up.

 

Exactly what is going to happen, which is definitely good for all of us that early in the morning.

 

I plan on getting in line around 2am. What should I bring besides beer, wallet, and my will to live?

for anyone who has been to this before, do they allow people to park overnight in the lot after the event is over? i sure as fuck do not want to drive back to my hotel drunk, and i want to make sure i have a locked place to stash bottle purchases.

 

Beer to share. The bottle graveyard last year was pretty awesome.

 

Leave that shit at home.

 

I greatly admire the stamina of folks who can go overnight for beer several times a year. Sounds like a fun event though!
