It's a 2 hour drive one way for me in NY and I go several times a year, so yeah I'd say the 30 min drive from Mystic is worth it.

In a word, Yes. In more than one word. Yes, and make sure to leave plenty of trunk space.

Much appreciated! Any other must-hit spots in that area?

Not that i am aware of but I haven't spent a lot of time in that area. Normally when I go to FF its one stop and on my way.

Tox Brewing in New London is pretty solid in my opinion.
    Beer'd in Stonington also good.

And Fox Farm worth the drive of you are visiting Connecticut IMO.

Beer'd has two locations (Stonington and Groton - no kids allowed at Groton, in case relevant for you) and is definitely worth the visit. Their emphasis is on clean (mainly non-NE) double IPAs but they have other styles, as well. There are also several good wineries in the area worth a visit if you dabble in non-beer.

Fox Farm is absolutely worth the drive from Mystic. It'll be a bit time consuming for a round trip. Depending on exactly where you are in Mystic, it's about 30 minutes each way. We usually stop in on the way into or out of town as opposed to doing it while in Mystic.

Viridescence is one of their better IPAs imo

Anyone know if the release from earlier this week (Avalonias, Viri and Layers) was their final drop before Christmas or will there be one more early next week?

I would assume one more drop this Monday and likely a break the following week.

They posted that they are taking the week off from packaging, but they did have a cellar sale. Did anyone get anything?

What!? A cellar sale?? And Votive 2 isn't sold out??? That was in contention for stout of the year for me in 2020

Glad you posted that because it looks quite interesting… It is awesome to see FF put the proceeds of the magnums back to good causes.

First visit to Fox Farm to drink onsite since COVID for my wife and I today. We’ve done pick up several times when in the area but enjoying a few beers in the taproom today was great. It still sits comfortably on our top row of places to have a beer.
