I never thought I'd find myself on the side of Social Demo's or The Green Party (especially not in Germany). But I'm all for banning fracking if it means preserving an integral part of beer's history and Germany's pride. Either that, or confirm it won't harm German brews.

As someone that has been vocal in my disaproval for Abinbev, I feel it only fair to applaud them for being memebers of an organization (the Association of German Brewers) that is standing up to fracking, something I am not a fan of at all. Perhaps ABinbev is actually in favor of fracking or is indifferent, but the association they are a part of is vocally opposed and if this association were vocally in support of fracking I'd be giving Abinbev shit. What's fair is fair. Kudos to you Abinbev.

Still not buying your stuff though....

They are currently discussing legislation to to allow at all and if so, to regulate Fracking in Germany. Most people see it as yet another way for shady people to make a quick buck and then run and stick society with the environmental fall-out. A view I personally agree with. I think it should be banned in Germany and preferably the rest of Europe as well. Clean drinking water is way more important than cheap gas.

You only care about banning something that is possibly a huge harm to our environment (and the drinking water quality) if it affects the german beer? Isn't that a little bit narrow-minded? Not only German beer needs groundwater. Pretty much everything in the foodchain relies on it...

    Cheers.

Sometimes it's hard to notice sarcasm through print, especially if you have heard some really stupid things by people from across the pond. I was actually close to thinking something along the lines of " 'murican fool".
I'm sorry for calling you narrow-minded, I should've thought a little more before posting

    Cheers!
