Has anybody seen this in the Bay Area yet?

Or is a brewery only release? I swear I've seen this on shelves before.

I don't think it will make it there. Typically it is a brewery only (barring a few rare stores you are either good friends with LA or buy the beer and resell it). I guess this year they are doing a small amount of distro in SD, I would be shocked if it made it to the bay area.

I saw a bottle of it at a whole foods last fall. Hmm maybe it was more widely distributed last year?

Not the Bay Area, but I found it in Long Beach today.

No distribution. Being on shelves doesn't mean the brewery distributed it, it means the store sent some runners down to buy it and resell it.

I know of 3 SD stores that did this.

yeah I doubt this. My store just got some and I know the beer guy would not do this.

I asked - "yeah my brother and his friend went up and bought 12". These are stores with full bore LA accounts who get everything they distribute.

So maybe now they have 24 bottles? Could have went up and bought them not knowing they would get a case from distro?

Yeah who knows I guess. I wonder how many cases there are. I heard 160 from a person behind the bar but you know how that goes..... there could be 80 or 2000.

How much are they running for? I know Red poppy is around 14-17$ a bottle. Yikes.

Or, it could mean SoCal only.

I bought a bottle for 16 something at Whole Foods today in SD. So there is some distribution.

I think Lost Abbey said something similar about Cuvee de Tomme, but that still hit shelves locally.

$15 at LA - so 17 sounds right @ retail. Worth it, unlike Red Poppy!
