Russian River posted today pictures of FfaC bottles getting filled today. I already booked my hotel for the first weekend of October a week ago. It's my first trip for FfaC. I was there opening day for PtY so I'm assuming there's no way this can be another 9 hours in line in the rain, right? I love the idea that 100% of the sales go to charity. Anyone else going to be there rain or shine? "It all kicks off October 1st".

I am hoping RR will ship kegs down to San Diego like they did last year. It was nice having a few pints at EAH, no crowd, good company, good burgers...tough to beat.

Do bottles usually last till the closest weekend or not necessarily?

From reading the past threads a few days ago it seemed like bottles lasted till the first Sunday. Draft for 2 weeks.

I tried sending a buddy there the weekend after last year and there were none left.

Although I believe that was a tuesday last year, so one day closer to the weekend this year.

They ran out of bottles on the first Sunday of the month last year. But at first they were doing 12 per person I think. Then 6 per person. then 3 per person and were selling only 27 or so cases per day so it was selling out by noonish. I wonder if they will keep the bottles per person lower this year so more people can get some.

Definitely making my way up there Thursday. Easy enough trip back and forth in one day from San Jose

    They did last year!

I sure hope so. Last year they sold bottles from Tuesday the 1st - Sunday the 6th. It was on tap till the 13th or 14th.

I will be there early too but I am not so sure I would bring any beers to share while waiting in line. I went to Zwanze day last week and saw someone get kicked out of the line because he was drinking...

There is ZERO drinking allowed in the line in front of RR. If they catch you, they will boot you. I've seen it a couple times.

I'm going to try to get the day off and head over. Any idea what might be a good time to get there? I'm not sure how this line will be with regards to PtY or Beat. Much less I would presume.

I'm really hoping much less, il be driving up from long beach early that morning and will be crossing my fingers that I don't show up to a line around the corner...

I went for Beatification and FFaC on the weekends last year and you definitely were fine showing up right at or just before opening. This year, who knows. Still debating on whether to head up tomorrow. Or...this is next week, right?

Edit: answered my on question. Next wed is the 1st. Well, we'll see how this all shakes out.

They had it last year and there was hardly a line for it. I literally got a pour, chatted with the server, and got another pour. GABF is crazy, but well worth it.

From earlier posts, it sounds like they throttle the release of the beer with daily allocations. Any guess if that should be expected this year? Basically I'm asking, do you need to be there close to opening time to get a chance to buy from the allocation that day?
