If you got a table, you could order bottles from your server, like with the Beat release. That's what was recommended to us by the guy checking IDs. The bottle line was meant for folks not getting a table.

Also, because the information about bottle limits, daily allocations, etc. wasn't released until late yesterday, I think a lot of people had already planned to take the day off work and go early in search of cases. Things should calm down by Monday. I remember the day after Beat was released was normal and you could still buy a case.

    My first post here!

Unfortunately for me, they ended up selling the last 4 of today's bottles to the guy in front of me.

When we got in line, I thought we were in the clear to get bottles because we saw about 5-6 cases left. Next thing I knew, one of the employees packed up about 3 cases and wheeled it away and a bunch of other employees took two 4 packs at a time from the pile near the register. Then we got the apologies saying they had run out for the day. I don't wish these types of moments upon anyone :slight_frown:

At least I was able to get it on tap.

I had a similar experience last year. Just barely missed on bottles. My only issue was, they said they were limiting bottles, but didn't say there was a limit on total sales per day. Until the next day after I was a little miffed. This year, they again said they were limiting, but didn't say how many cases until after they had run out for the day and a lot of people missed out. I feel like since they werent doing wristbands, at the minimum everyone that was there before opening should have gotten bottles. I think next year they should just communicate a little about daily sales limits is all. That way when people show up and there is a huge line, they can make the call to stay for a pour or not.

Welcome to BA! What time did you get in line? That sucks. Hopefully you are staying the night and can pick some up tomorrow.

I wonder what breweries in general do about employees and special releases? Anyone on the inside know?

How can they not know where the cut off is? You know how many bottles you have and how many people it takes to sell them out. What would be so hard for a person to walk the line give a person a number with their place in line and bottles wanted. Once they hit total bottles to sell within that system no need to let people languish like that.

For the feral one release at barrelworks, Firestone came down the line with an iPad and card swipe to ask how many each person wanted. That way people were sure early on if they would get bottles. The sale would run much more smoothly if RR did this as well.

Their system is flawed. By now, I would think they would have it down to a science since every release they have is a complete shit show full of line cutters and people who go over their limit. I just don't understand why they can't go to a ticket system where they hand out a ticket to the people as they get in line. This way, it will curb line cutting a little and also let people know when they are done with the daily allocation. I was able to get my 4, but was also in line @ 7:45am. I felt bad for the people who had to endure the heat, just to get shut out. At least if they knew there was nothing left they can either get out of line or wait to just try it on tap.

I get they were trying to limit it with a stamp, but honestly, the girl working the register spot stamped and furthermore, you could very easily wash it off and hop back into a different line. (No, I did not do that. I plan on going back next week, if there is any left)

I got in line at 10:30 this morning. Took the day off and made a two hour drive this morning to get there.

To clarify, I believe the employees were grabbing bottles for the people who ordered from their table. Although I was pretty stunned when I saw 3 cases gone in an instant.

Same happened to me on the first day on T25 sales. I had so much cash to buy bottles, that I made up for it on draft. It also didn't hurt Compunction was on tap.

I've only been to the T25 release and was able to get my bottles.
I plan on going this Saturday. Pub opens at 11am. If I get there at 930am, do you think I should be fine?

It will all be based on how today and tomorrow's release goes...If the line is as big as yesterday then maybe consider coming before 9

will it most likely still be there at the middle of next week? If so, will it still probably sell out early or would going around 2 be ok?

I live right around the corner and drove by at 9:30 on my way out of the house and there was only 20 people in line... it didn't even stretch past the alley. I might stop by when I am done with my errands for a pour (or a few bottles if it's still available) but i'm in no hurry. Probably just slip in next week once it calms a bit.

Loved last years and have high hopes for this year too but i'm just a bit too old, grumpy and spoiled for waiting in lines.

Yes it will still be available next week. You will still have to get there early. Only the first 150 or so people in line will get bottles, each day, for 2 weeks.

Got here at ten. We're about 40th in line. They handed out tickets to everyone in line. Now at 10:30 there are maybe fifty in line.

Wow! Handing out tickets, what a novel idea!

Now, how about this for another crazy idea: when you buy your bottles you hand over your ticket. This way, you can't then join another line because you can't buy bottles without a ticket. No hand stamps, no shenanigans...
