Was 40th good enough to get a table?

Edit: I can't math. There are like a good 20+ tables, so I'm sure it was.

I arrived just before ten and I was out by 11. They opened a little early. Very calm and controlled today.

I envy you. I got there about the same time yesterday and just barely missed. I knew I should have picked today to go up there. :slight_frown:

Just walked in, bought 4 bottles and had a barstool an a pour within 5 minutes. Looks like it's running low but not the typical madness...

Anyone else think that this year's batch is a little more tart than last year? I had a couple on tap yesterday and thought it was awesome.

Tasting great! I'd say not as fruit forward as last year, more of a Temptation presence (I believe that's still the base beer), amazing color, delicious.

According to one of the bartenders today, this year's batch is 80% Temptation, 20% Beatification.

Any chance you can find someone up there who actually knows what's going on with this release? They've just announced on FB that bottles will now not last until next weekend and even seem to be suggesting that they've only got three days worth (now at 40 cases a day) left. All this after two days ago confidently announcing there would be 50 cases a day for two whole weeks!
I'm sorry, but how can you not work out how many cases you can afford to sell a day for them to last two weeks?!

I, and I'm sure lots of other people, based on their previous announcement, have made travel plans to visit next weekend, or early the following week.

Russian River could do with taking a leaf out of The Rare Barrel's book- all the info you could ever want, in advance, about every bottle release. If you give people all the right information in advance (and stick to it!), they can't then blame you if they miss out...

I also have a trip planned around this release and am going up next weekend knowing there will still be cases left since that is what they said. Now they are saying otherwise? Someone fucked up!

Uh, where are they saying that the two weeks thing is no longer in play?

Where are they saying this? I just looked at their Facebook page and see nothing about it. I wasn't planning on going there anyway but I'm just curious.

Made it through the first of four sessions at GABF! Garrett Oliver from Brooklyn Brewing stopped by our booth for this photo op with Vinnie. Back home in Santa Rosa, we will be releasing 40 cases of Framboise For A Cure each day for the next 3 days. At this rate it definitely won't last until next weekend. Thank you to everyone who has already contributed to the cause these first 2 days of Breast Cancer Awareness Month! If you happen to be at GABF, here is a photo of our offerings at the booth. Try the STS Pils and Erudition, both first timers to the fest! Until tomorrow!
