Not sure if serious. Bottles haven't lasted more than like 4 days for the last 3 releases is why I say that.

Edit: just saw your other post. I don't see how that is possible, but it would be interesting.

All of this batch of Beat has been in bottles for 5 months. Don't see why they wouldn't be carbonated. I mean, I'm sure they'll taste like plastic/chlorine just like the rest of the batch, but hey, if that's your thing, might as well get a big format.

^It's admittedly a little out of my wheelhouse since I do not brew, but I have heard many times that the large format bottles age slower and more gracefully so I was jumping to the conclusion that they would also take longer to bottle condition as well. Not true?

I hear when they finish the last few people in the Beat line today they'll open up the FFaC line for sales.

By 12:30 you could walk right in and get bottles or grab a seat at the bar and order. They always allocate FfaC daily so it lasts a couple of weeks at least.

Last year it was 6 pp and $15 (I think) each. It lasted a couple weeks and they were not very strict on daily limits. Perhaps the drought has affected the price of the fruit? Maybe they're using more fruit this year? Do we know if the base beer is temptation or sonambic?

I think they just want to raise more money for the charity. Also, last year it was 4 per person at $18/bottle (and 6 per person at $15/bottle the year before that).

Yeah, my guess is they are trying to reach a price point that makes it sit around for longer than two weeks, knowing that there is no room for criticism if the profits are donated.

Interesting that they still haven't made any formal announcements about the release... probably easier not to make any promises and have people moan about it on social media if things get gummed up.

To add...I think the fact that people always accuse them of enjoying having the "shitshow" may have changed their approach for this release. The people I was standing in line with the week of the Beat release couldn't stop hammering home the point that RR relishes in the attention. Got so tired of hearing it I just put my headphones on.

I was there yesterday, showed up at 11:30. Waited in line for ~10 minutes then was inside and had a table for 4 within 30. Line to get bottles was short. Saw a guy put a hat on and get back in line to double-dip after he got his allocation. Yes, a bit pricey at $23 and 2 pp is meh, but it does all go for a good cause. 12 oz pours are only $7, and it is drinking great. Talked with our server a bit, he said they didn't do any other announcements to try and avoid the shitshow that Beat was. When I left near 5 PM, you could still walk to the merchandise area and get bottles. Overall a great day at RR with my wife, brother, and a friend.

The only real "mule" was possibly my wife, as she doesn't drink beer at all, but she is very big on any events and fundraising in regards to women's health. She was all for supporting the cause and was more than happy to get a shirt to show her support. Not to mention she drove the long drive home, she's a keeper! My brother got bottles for himself, as sours are his favorite style. I did get my buddies allocation though, as he is more interested in IPA's and he hadn't been to RR before so he jumped at the chance to snag a ride with when I let him know I was heading up. A good day!

Was able to stop in for a pour today... by my recollection this is very restrained compared to previous years. Not too acidic and minimal tartness in the base (maybe more temptation than beat in this blend, which would make sense if the current batch of beat was in fact smaller....) but nice level of subdued tartness coming off the raspberries. As usual, a very juicy and fresh fruit character as opposed to the more syrupy examples some other breweries make. Color is also a bit less vibrant than last year although still a beautiful deep pink. Overall, really lovely stuff and still probably my favorite domestic framboise.

just grabbed two around 730 pm.
Made an impulse buy and grabbed two, afterwards I was like "Wow I just got these TWO beers for just under fifty dollars!". But then I realized I was being a good citizen and donating to charity  and was rewarded with two beers.

I was bummed to hear the 2pp per day but it's amazing for us locals. With that price jump we BETTER find a cure for breast cancer. They've been selling bottles all the way til closing.

Apologize for the brief threadjack, but for anyone who's been up there for FFAC, are they still selling bottles of Sonoma Pride Amasa and/or Dauenhauer?

They had both SP bottles two weeks ago but it is not on the bottle list online so I doubt they have it now. That list is pretty accurate in my experience.
