I just saw this beer online for the first time, and was wondering what people know about it. How rare is it, and would it be realistic to trade for one? I see a general trend, at least from my perspective, that shows people are not interested in anything but current rare one-offs. Is this bottle something I'd be able to trade some good VT locals for?
There are two batches of FFaC ... first is more sought after (base beer is different), but the 2nd is great too. I'm a big fan of both. No sure VT locals will pull it down, probably another BRO should pull down a batch 2. Good luck, it's a tasty beer!
Aside from at the brewery itself, I think I've only ever seen it available for on-premise consumption. It'll definitely take more than locals to land one, but it's well worth trying. Awesome beer.
I just got one straight up for a Beatification batch 5, with a couple kickers to make up the slight $4$ difference. Hill Farmstead stuff might be able to pull one, and I would think something weirder from Lawson's would make it happen easily.
That's what I kind of expected. My locals are Lawson's and HF, but I still think it'll be easier said than done to find one. Thank for all your help!
Oh, and to the earlier point, batch 1 is more or less a whale. I don't think you're likely to find it without some vintage brewery-only releases with great reputations. Batch 2 is far more accessible.
It might not happen for a growler of Edward, but a bottle of BoT or Damon or something like that should get a bottle of FfaC without a ton of trouble. A rarer growler like Double Galaxy could pull one in too.
I'd say try an ISO FT as a holder of FFac#2 I maybe more inclined to see what you might have to offer :-)
