Picked up a Framboos in Chicago the night before DLD, and didn't realize until this week that the top of the cork is broken. It snapped off flush with the top of the bottle, and the cage is still intact. Should i be worried about this, or am I just overreacting?

Unless it is noticeably leaking or short-filled, simply remove cage and use a corkscrew when you are ready to drink it. This generally works perfectly well. Good luck.

You will probably be fine, though opening said bottle will be a little more challenging and likely require a corkscrew. I have broken off a couple of corks in my years of opening beers and never had any issues.

Not sure I would cellar this one for years though.

I would go ahead and open it, just wouldn't feel comfortable with a cork that's already compromised.

Thanks guys. I'll make sure to drink it soon so I don't have to worry about problems down the road.
