Just wondering what it has required to obtain a bottle of Framboos (from 2011, presumably) lately. I'm trying to decide whether I should go big for this one or set my sights slightly lower on A&T and OGV; but from reading the reviews of Framboos & Hommage, I keep thinking I'd love to drink Framboos more than the others as someone (whose opinion I highly respect) wrote that it even has a slight milkshake consistency.

So: what did it take to obtain a bottle of this, and was it worth it for you?

I'm not sure what it takes trade wise (probably a lot), but when I tried it someone paid $$$ for the bottle. Had it next to Hommage, and thought Hommage was hands down a better beer. Personally, having had A&T as well, I'd go for that one. Framboos just wasn't worth the price of admission IMO. Best of luck, OP!

Read somewhere that there was another batch of Framboos coming out this summer, so I would personally wait for that to happen or for that rumor to be squashed since it may see more availability that past batches. Also totally agree 2013 Hommage is a better beer than 2011 Framboos.

Thanks for the feedback, I'm looking forward to trying Hommage as well!

I'd love to see/hear more about the possibility of another batch of Framboos coming out this summer. Had not heard anything about that.

Try a De Cam Framboise Lambiek or a Cantillon LP if you can find one. Cheaper and certainly as good if not better.
Sometimes the rarity is just that, but it serves to push up prices.

I could buy a bunch of Framboos today but they are absurdly expensive. Many more beers in the sea...
