When you mentioned it being for a wedding I assumed you were looking for a keg, which might be possible.

There's also Jabby, Leisure Time, and Sunny Ridge, all of which are potentially good options for the "beer that tastes like beer" crowd. You should visit the taproom... you know, for research.

I wish! Kegs are not allowed at our venue, sadly.

Just gave this beer a shot tonight with some burgers- definitely a tasty lager, though I'm not sure I'd classify it as a "light lager". It really seems like more of a standard normal American Pale Lager, in my mind, especially given the grain bill and ABV. If the thing was <4% I'd say sure, light lager makes sense, but at 4.5% it's still right on the boarder of a standard American lager. I wonder what @JacksAbbyBrewing thinks about the style listed here.

Nonetheless, this beer is tailor made for hot summer days, BBQs, and 16oz tallboys, so I second (third? fourth?) all those who have suggested that so far on this thread. Comparable in price to Gansett but tastes better. A solid standard normal beer.

Finally tried the Framingham Lager this weekend (thanks to @seanwhite !), along with the Leisure Time lager. While they were both good examples of styles I'm not usually in to, we ultimately decided to go with Hoponius Union as the jack's abby beer for our wedding and are going with the Von Trapp Helles Lager for a lighter option.

I'm pretty sure I'd be legless by the end of your wedding. Congrats man

I'm a huge JA fan, but I feel pretty much the same way about the Framingham Lager. I was disappointed to see it in the latest mix pack. I actually like the beer, and I like the style, but I don't think I could tell it apart from, say, PBR.

Note: I passed on Framingham Lager this year, so my memory isn't crystal clear, but that was my take from last year.
