Anyone know any discount codes or any times that they offer free or discounted shipping? They carry some nice beers that I can't get a hold of, but the shipping is sometimes 1.5X the cost of the beer itself.
I can't answer your question, but finding a good trading partner in the Twin Cities shouldn't be too hard, and can be much more fun than ordering from a store.
France44 is a great site, prompt shipping, great customer service. My one experience w/ them was marred only by inexcusably terrible UPS service, but that wasn't their fault. Yes, sometimes trading is fun and good for the BA community, but sometimes it can also be a hassle. I enjoy the convenience of buying beer without always having to negotiate the trade, go out & buy beer, pack it up securely, ship it out, etc. Credit card # + shipping address = beer delivered to my doorstep!
I have had great experience with them as well. (on multiple orders) I suggest ordering in multiples of 6 so that it matches up to the shipper. I have never seen a discount code from them.
Here's the secret to ordering beer online: order a lot. Include friends as necessarry. That's the only way to minimize shipping cost per item. FWIW, I've had a good experience with France44 - the Furious was super fresh.
