It's time fellas, gonna kill these tonight and get my hazelnut fix.

Has anyone had it already? I've heard it from both ends.. Weak showing and not really that spectacular, and then I've heard that it's really awesome and as would be expected.

How much for a bottle? I'm still waiting for it to show up, I'm told soon though...

Another market releasing beer early, against Founders wishes. I really wonder when Founders will either lay down the law or give up on a uniform release date.

It is a Brown Ale with hazelnut flavored coffee. If you like that flavor combination you will like this beer.

This. I happen to like brown ales and hazelnut coffee, so obviously I thought it was tasty. But I thought it was a brilliantly crafted beer on top of that. Nearly all 5's across the board for me.

    Nice!

I'm going to pop it in a few.. Going to do a founders line up tonight, and cap it with a KBS after the Frangelic.

I got this from the only leaky place known... I don't even think this is going to show it's ugly face in my neck of the woods. Everyone at the stores I frequent has acted like they aren't going to get it, so who knows.

I paid a reasonable price for them, and for that, I'm happy to have a bottle or two to try.

I got the heads up that these will be arriving at one of my local guys tomorrow, excited to grab a couple.

I ordered one on-line and it arrived in my office today.
Now I have to make a trip into the office this weekend.
I'm going to open it up Sunday night after everyone's gone to sleep.

Given that this happens with every release I'd say giving up the uniform release date concept is more doable.

My guys are getting this in on Monday (along with my much-anticipated Devil Dancer). More excited about Devil Dancer, truth be told; and I've also heard there's going to be a barleywine, Bolt Cutter, at some point in the future (from Founders) - now that has me excited, too.

I wonder if we ordered from the same spot. I have 2 bottles sitting here. I move into a new apt on Sunday. Seems like the perfect beer to christen the new place.

I never understood why they wouldn't just ship it all out on the same day/similar days? It's not like every client across the country needs the beer in their hands at the exact same moment.

hasnt this been happening for the past few years though? it's almost as if their release dates are irrelevant at this point, since stores just put them on shelves whenever they receive shipment.

Looking forward to trying this one, but am not nearly as excited for it. I'm not the biggest fan of hazelnut flavored things to begin with.

Or they stand their ground, grow a pair, and stop distributing these beers to areas that can't follow simple directions.

So they can piss off a bunch of paying customers in entire cities or states as a "punishment" for something a distributor did? That wouldn't do anyone any good. I'm sure Mr. Bell had a chat with the distributor when he was in Charleston though.

Bottom line is if they don't want the beer in stores before a certain date they shouldn't ship it before that date.
