In town for a week and i dont trust ratebeer and their places. Can anyone give me a few places to check out in the bottle shop, brewery and beer bar spots for the overall Frederick, MD area? Thanks
Don't get to Frederick that much but here's what I've found. Not sure which days you'll be there but check into doing a tour/tasting at Flying Dog Brewery. Ye Old Spirit Shop is a pretty good bottle shop(I've been there), and is #1 listed on that place you don't trust.
Monocacy Brewery For bottle shops Orion's, Viniferous and Ye Old Spirts Jojo's in downtown Fred has a decent beer selection, the food is pretty meh
+ 1 for monocacy brewing. I live in Frederick and can say confidently that their stuff is fantastic. Definitely go to brewers alley downtown. As stated above, Ye olde spirit shoppe is a great stop and Orion's isn't bad as well. Roasthouse has awesome food but the beer store is rather small.
