I live in VA. One of the perks is getting beer shipped to my door. I was regularly taking advantage of HalfTime's free shipping code, but they but the kibosh on it earlier this year. Anyone know of a site that's got a good, or, ideally, free shipping promo going on? Thanks!
Free shipping for beer? That must eat up a good chunk of their profit, unless they're marking up bottles $2-3 a pop. Of course, if they don't mark up, then you have your answer- it was getting too expensive.
I would say look fro a site that does not unreasonably mark up the beer to begin with and then that charges a fair price for shipping. Have you ever sent beer? Then you how much it costs. There are a lot of good sites that are trustworthy. Read the forums on mail ordering beer then check out the BA that posted. You can believe a guy who has 1000 reviews rather than someone who just joined yesterday. ( no offense intended to the trustworthy people who just joined yesterday)
My go-to shop has a flat rate. $25 for up to 6 bottles, $35 for 12 bottles. Solid shipping, always on time, always packaged extremely well. Always retail prices. And I can easily re-use their packaging, making my trades a bit cheaper in the long run.
I just got 12 bottles from craft shack for $30 shipping. Thats less than I usually pay to send 12 bottles in a trade.
My go-to latley has been Beer Temple, I just ordered 4- 22oz bottles and 4-16oz cans and shipping was 12$, Last time I ordered 7- 22oz bottles and shipping was the same.
For some ridiculous reason, Beer Temple does not ship to Wisconsin. Wisco allows shipping of beer, my thought is that they're saving money on their shipper's license by leaving Wisconsin off. They might figure we're close enough to just make the drive down if we want the beer.
Beer Temple now ships to WI. The reason we didn't before was because our shipping partner advised us not to.
Woohoo! Thanks a ton for responding. Excuse the bad blood, I get moody when the Brewers hit a losing streak. Which is often.
