There doesn't seem to be much chatter about these folks on this forum and their website doesn't have much information. I had a bottle of the peach lambic tonight and I thought it showed real promise. There wasn't a lot of fruit character and it was under carbonated, but the base beer had a nice, acidic green apple bite that tasted pretty authentic to my untrained palate. I am definitely interested in trying more from this series.

Does anyone know how these lambics were brewed? Were they spontaneously fermented? Aged in barrels? How frequent are the releases? They are only about 90 minutes from me so I'll make the trip sometime soon for sure. There aren't any reviews up yet, has anyone been there? Any thoughts to share?
Thanks for any info or feedback.

Honestly I don't know the answers to your specific questions. I do know they haven't been particularly highly regarded In general yet around the Philly burbs, at least as far as word of mouth that has reached me. I recently drank a bottle of the key lime lambic, which sounded really interesting, but wound up pretty unsuccessful. It was bracingly sour and acidic, which I liked, but any complexity was obliterated by acid and worse, an overpowering lime juice flavor akin to squeezing one of those little plastic limes into your mouth. Ended up hard to finish.

Nonetheless I would definitely buy and try other bottles in this series and feel they are to be commended for attempting something like this.

I've had these sour ales from them: Blood & Guts, Key Lime Lambic, Kriek Lambic, Peach Lambic and Barbera (grape lambic). I really enjoyed the Barbera when I had it on-tap at their taproom. The Key Lime is not my cup of tea. I liked the Kriek and Peach bottles, but both were under-carbonated. The Blood & Guts was my personal least favorite.

There is no concrete time table on releases but here are the sours they're doing in 2015:

    Kriek Lambic
    Peach Lambic
    Key Lime Lambic
    Raspberry Lambic
    Pomegranate Lambic
    Barbera Grape Lambic
    Blood & Guts
    Cuvee
    Unnamed sour

I'm unsure what the last two on the list will be, but if they can refine a bit and ensure all their bottles are carbonated it will be much welcomed for me as a consumer!

Thanks for the response. How is the taproom and how are their growler fill prices? Going to make the drive one of these days regardless, just curious to hear your thought.

In my experience, I went to their brand new taproom on its second day of operation. Needless to say, it was pretty busy. The space was ample but there were only 2 bartenders running draft pours, growler fills and bottle purchases. They needed at least an additional person there. Perhaps that has changed, I do not know. Unfortunately, I did not notice the growler prices so I cannot comment on that. I also heard they recently started doing flights (they were not when I was there and I wish they had), so that's a plus too.
