Cannot believe there is not more talk about this beer.
70lbs of freah wet citra hops it is brewed with.
It's freaking fantastic. One of the best imperial ipa's ive had from a texas brewer. right there with dipa heavy machinery.

If we talked about it then people from Houston would come hoard all of it

First rule about Freetail. Don't talk about Freetail

I thought this beer was excellent. My only complaint is, I wanted to try it at Freetail. So I asked if I could open a bottle on site while I was eating my pizza. I had planned on splitting it with my girlfriend but I was told that wasn't allowed. Which sucks because if I hated it, I would have just bought that bottle. If I liked it, I would have bought more to-go. I didn't want to gamble and buy several so I just took one home. But now I regret that because it was great and I want more.

Any idea why I couldn't buy one to drink on-site from the bottle? Is that just a Freetail policy?

Maybe Scott could chime in? @FreetailBrewing

Houston Hate is strong. I agree this is awesome. Dont think I have seen an Imperial Wet Hop before and this beer does not disappoint.

oh, I bought it and opened it outside when the bottle share was still going on. I really wished I had bought a couple more. I bought 4 and drank one there. will be finishing them up this weekend though. Did not know I was not suppose to. I will for future reference though.

Well somebody bought like 5 La Muertas and opened one up during the bottle share. I think things are a little different in that case.

Generally our policy has been that bottles are priced and for sale for off-premise consumption. Part of this was we didn't want to deal with glass, but another big part was that usually if we have it in a bottle we also have it on draft.

However, given that we sometimes have bottles available that are not available on draft, it might make sense to offer our bottles for on-premise consumption as well. We will have to include some kind of "cork" fee to pop them open on-premise, because like I said we price them for off-premise consumption. Give me a little time to address this (because if we do offer for on-premise, I want to incorporate that into the beer board as well).

Thanks for pointing this out, and I'll find a solution that works!

    Cheers,

    Scott

Awesome! Thanks for reconsidering the policy, Scott. I really appreciate how responsive you are with your customers.

Hopothesis is probably the best fresh hop I've ever had.

These last couple bottles won't, and shouldn't, last.

The best beer I had at La Muerta, its the only bottles I have ever got from Freetail I would never trade.
