I just recently bought an upright freezer on craigslist to convert into a beer cellar. I'm looking at buying a temperature converter on amazon but my problem is this..... Will the converter keep a constant temp even when the outside temperature is much colder? I'm planning on keeping it in my garage during the winter which doesnt go below freezing but definitely gets colder than 55. Thanks for the help!

I remember seeing on TV that the Ice Hotel or whatever its called, that hotel that is carved every year out of ice, uses refrigerators to keep the beverages from getting as cold as everything else is. I would double check, I wouldnt normally think a refrigerator could warm something, but depending on how it works I guess it could.

I keep a beer fridge in a detached garage with no sort of heat in it and never had a problem with beer freezing out there.

Buy a 2 stage controller and put a heater in the freezer to raise the temp when it is colder than 55.
