Popped a bottle tonight. Fantastic and not hot at all.

I picked up BA Dark Star today at the brewery a week after release. Do the varients last a few days?

    Thanks.

Sigh. Figures. Next Saturday I'll be in Southern France.

Thank you. Thank you. Your sympathy and support is greatly appreciated.

It won't be easy, but I'm hoping I can suck it up and persevere through what will almost certainly be a most difficult and undoubtedly unpleasant experience.

Am at tin bucket, and was told all 5 cases came and went yesterday. Hopefully I'll luck out and find a stray bote at MofC or Zupans, but I'm starting to think I may have bought my last bottle BBA Dark Star in the wild. The increased demand just since last year is amazing.

Still had plenty as of 10 minutes ago, to anyone who might be interested.

I don't know if I entirely agree with you. While I agree it's as good as ever this year, I thought the beer a tad boozy and in need of some short term cellaring. Still a fantastic beer, don't get me wrong, but I think a couple of months in bottle might help smooth out some of the current rough edges.

Last year it seemed pretty easy to pick up at Whole Foods or other stores with decent beer selection here in Seattle. Has distribution just not hit full force yet? I'll be kicking myself if my impatience over waiting in line on release day ends up with me not being able to nab a bottle.

I've been in Colorado for three weeks, so I was gone for the initial release. But I was happy to find that the UBG still had bottles for sale this afternoon. The Fremont staff weren't sure how much longer they'd have it available.

Came into Spokane Valley Total Wine Friday and they had just gotten some in. They were enforcing a 1 bottle per person per day limit.

Not sure how long they will last, but I'm seeing bottles of BBA Dark Star all over in Seattle. This includes the outlying cities/suburbs. Various QFC's had bottles along with a $1 discount. Final price was either $18 or $19 before taxes. No limits.

Three years ago, you could find bottles 4-6 months after release. This included the variants. I remember seeing cases of the various Fremont BBA Dark Star variations in the larger QFC on Capitol Hill. Unfortunately, they have basically killed most of their special release section.

Yeah it seems like Kroger corporate has been reining in the liquor department buys since earlier this year which is disappointing, saw it happen at U-Village first then at the Bellevue downtown QFC recently.

The guys at the UBG were preparing tokens for the variant release on Saturday, hoping for the best but expecting the worst..

Yeah 2015 was crazy for availability of KDS/bbom and variants. All the way into 2016.

I didn't really see much of anything at retail longer than a few weeks last year.

The wife and I will be at the release Saturday pretty early; we did a bit of line drinking a few weeks ago and it made the time fly by lol. It's really mellow, everyone was super cool and nobody was wasted or anything. Will probably do the same Saturday.

Was planning to show up around Noon but changed my mind. Will show up early as well. I really want the variants. FOMO. edit: I'll bring something to the "party"

There are going to be a lot of shocked people if the tokens are indeed necessary and noon is too late to show up to grab bottles...
