Unfortunately it’s too common a problem, distributors don’t really care as long as it’s in date, and retailers haven’t a clue to the canning date if they order it. The three tier system really only works for the distributors.

Drinking some EurekaSeoul Cirtra Hop Ale from the Booth brewery that is 10 days old and I am remembering why I was immediately enamored by these folks. Such clean hop flavors. Wonderful stuff. This is still good at 6 or 8 weeks but it isn't this

If your ever in Charlotte you have to hit Resident Culture, they usually have 2-3 tap lines coming right from the brite tank. Can’t get any fresher than that. Fresh is usually best, but I’ve had a few beers I thought were a bit rough up front, and I’ll say they were both NEIPAs if I’m remembering right. So green beers are real, and some set up better two weeks, a month, or older. Depends on the hops , whatever I suppose, but drinking from the brite tanks is kinda cool.

Dale, I agree with you here 100% (especially in the context of Juicy/Hazy IPAs).

    Cheers!

Guinness in Ireland, hands down! Especially at the brewery itself in Dublin.. Rich, creamy, full body, unbelievable! Light years away from the Guinness here in the U.S. (which I still love, especially on draft at a Irish pub where it doesn't sit).

How fresh was the Sculpin on draft in VT?
