I am looking to buy some fresh Union Jack and Double Jack in the Baltimore area. Visits to Wine Source and Well's (two best places I know) only had Union Jack bottled in late September.

Is this about as fresh as I can expect to find in the area, or is it simply a matter of finding when it is delivered and buying soon after?

Also, anyone know how Wookey Jack holds up with age? I passed on a bomber from late August today, not sure if I made the right call.

The last time I drank some Wookey, it tasted fantastic after being in my cellar for a few months. I'd give it a shot. Cheers!

Wookey Jack is an amazing beer. Fresh or aged. I'm dying for them to release an oak aged version.

Do bottles of the more "standard" Firestone beers (DBA, Pale 31, Oaktoberfest, Easy Jack, etc...) ever make it to the DC area?

    That's a "no."

Union jack more often now than a year ago. Double Jack, dates can be really spotty in both formats, but it's usually available. Wookey jack 4pks are showing up, 22s are out there. Porter 22s once a year it seems, Opal has shown up once as well. Then one 6pk of the BA'd stuff per account, per release.

Pretty weird distribution strategy if you ask me.
