Hey! Totally untrue that "smaller ones tend to have older stuff". There are a couple tiny little gems in my neck of the woods that always have fresh Surly. Having old stuff has NADDA to do with size, it has to do with the intelligence of the people managing the stock.
Did you read the first sentence or skip right to the second? I said "HIGH TRAFFIC". That covers little stores too. But it is much more common for small corner liquor stores to be lower traffic for craft beer than more well known stores. The one on my corner still has Furious from January. Stop looking for a argument where there is none.
Yikes! No need to get all excited. Did you read the second sentence of your post, or skip right past it? ('Grin' indicating I'm just giving you crap!)
My got to for fresh Furious is Golden Valley Liquor Barrel or even better, New Brighton Liquor Barrel. NB LB has them for $7.99 per 4pk so they are always on the move. Cannot wait to get back to TC.
Merwin Liquor's also has it often between $7.99-8.99. They move quite a bit, so freshness isn't a concern.
It does not suck to have the NB Liquor Barrel on my way home from work. The drive itself does suck however.
Oh yeah. Going either direction 694 in rushhour, especially eastward is a crawl. Very nice staf as well. Duane at Golden Valley LB is good guy too.
