Fresh Gandhi-bot?

GB does not usually sit around anywhere for very long...

 

I made a trip to the New Haven area on Saturday and picked up some fresh Gandhi-bot. I bought the last 4 packs from Amity (right next to the brewery) but most other places in New Haven county should have it on the shelves. Unfortunately, it never makes it up to Hartford County since there are some distribution conflicts ongoing.

 

If you're in Meriden check on Southington Wine & Spirits and Liquor Depot in New Britain. They both are pretty loyal to NEB

 

Try Coastal in Branford,they usually get a decent amount of G-Bot when its available.I have been there on many occasions and would see a stack of cases that would atleast reach my waist sitting on the floor.But,it does go quick.Def. worth it to check it out.

Depending on which way you are headed into CT, you could always pick up a growler at the brewery. They fill any growler; just check their facebook page or drop them a line to see what they have on tap.

 

Wallingford Wine and Spirits had some late last week.

 

Pretty sure they dont have anymore for growler fills, talked to Rob on Saturday.

 

Amity Wine and Spirits should have some. There is a date on the inside bottom of the cardboard tray hold the 4 packs. You might want to swing by the brewery though. Galaxy Pale Ale should be around this weekend.

 

Galaxy is already here and as delicious as I remember.

 

Good to know about Galaxy. Gandhi Bot pairs well with what I will be cooking up for Easter. Since kegged Bot won't be around Galaxy will work fine!

I checked in at Amity yesterday after grabbing my Chardonneighbor's from NEBCO that they thankfully held for me and they were all out. I'm never there when they have it and I'm yet to try it. If any of you kind fellas have a few extras available I'd love to trade for some!

 

I grabbed a growler of this while I was there. Should go down smooth tailgating before the Mets home opener on Thursday.

 

Yeah I think I picked up the last 4-packs at Amity when I was there this past Saturday. I think I could spare one 4-pack if you are interested in a trade. Let me know.

 

The nice thing about Gandhi-Bot is that it's brewed just infrequently enough that there's almost never old stock still on shelves by the time a new batch hits, but frequently enough that anything you find won't be more than a month or two old. Plus, the cans do a great job preserving the beer. Just this afternoon I drank a can from two batches ago (mid February?), and it was thoroughly delicious.

 

Gonna make it to MA? I know a store in Sutton that just got case in.
