Fresh Hop 2019

I'm headed to Budapest on November 20th and noticed that a brewery over there just tapped their yearly fresh hop IPA. Hopefully it lasts until I get there...

Monyo Brewing - Hop Harvest 2019
Wet-hopped India Pale Ale brewed with Magnum, Northern Brewer, Chinook, Cascade & Centennial.

 

The season ain't over yet! This afternoon at Edge Brewing in Boise I had an IPA called Smells Like Green Spirit with fresh Eldorado hops.

Very little fresh hop aroma, no fresh hop flavor.

Okay, the season's over.

 

I had Monyo Brewing’s Hop Harvest FH IPA here in Budapest the other day. Northern Brewer and Chinooks.

 

Curious how they are still drinking. Peart Near was my favorite from Crux this year and possibly in all of Bend.

 

I saw another fresh hop on Untappd here, locally grown Chinooks in a Hefeweizen. Didn’t make it to that bar, though.

used some of the last of my BA Global Mutt in place of the water for the brownies I brought to work last night. Imparted a nice subtle thing to the finish product. This is beeradvocate not internationaladvocate, afterall...
Umm.. and it's the fresh hop thread, so... had one of my last cans of HfoFH the other night? Definitely better fresher, but still pretty damn tasty. I'm not really into the whole murky phase we seem to be in, but that whole HFoD series does a good job of presenting a substyle I don't particularly care for in a way that even this curmudgeon can appreciate. Good on ya' Fremont.
